Is India really changing under PM Modi

Is India really changing under PM Modi?

Few mistakes or decisions (not in favour of few people but in support mass majority) can not deny him (PM) what he has achieved.

First Prime minister who has been criticized for working hard.

Since last few days, have seen quite a few jokes
on Narendra Modi's foreign visits.
.
.
.
and all people
are curious why Narendra Modi visits many countries and what is India achieving from it.
.
Few hidden (because the main stream media will
purposely ignore them) achievements are given below:
1.
BJP Govt.
convinced Saudi Arabia not to charge
“On-Time Delivery 1 Premium charges" on Crude Oil – Young Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan & External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj sealed the deal.
Saved the country thousands of crores.
.
.
2.
India will build 4 Hydroelectric power stations + Dams in Bhutan (India will get lion's share in
Green energy that will be produced in future from
these projects) .
.

3.
India will build Biggest ever dam of Nepal
(China was trying hard to get that) – India will get
83% Green energy produce from that hydro power station for free – in future.
.
.
.
.

4.
Increased relationship with Japan and they
agreed to invest $ 30Billion in DMIC (Delhi –Mumbai Investment Corridor).
.
This project is an exclusive rail line project for fast transportation.

5.
Increased strategic relationship with Vietnam
and They have now agreed to give contract of Oil exploration to ONGC-Videsh (UPA was not ready
to take this at all because they were worried about China – and getting into a conflict of interests on south China sea) NaMo is not scared of China because he has international backing.
6.
Increase Oil Imports from Iran, despite the ban by USA.
.
(u can see how USA twists other countries for it selfish interest) Iran agreed to sell in Indian Rupees and
it saved our Forex, not just for now, but protected
India from future currency fluctuations.
India also
gets to build “Chabahar” port of Iran, encircling
Pakistan.
Because we will have exclusive access for our Naval ships in this port.

This is to control Pak's undesirable designs.

7.
Australia- despite Australia being a major
supplier of Coal n Uranium.
.
.
NaMo was able to convince Tony Abbott and now Australia will
supply Uranium for our energy production.
.
.

8.
President Rajapakse lost
elections in Sri Lanka – Remember UPA lost
“Hambantota” port development – read latest
report of CIA, where they mention RAW has played
a major role in power shift of Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka has backed out of Chinese contract and shifted to Indian project managers.

9.
With China, as Trade Deficit was increasing,
NaMo forced their hand.
Anti-Dumping will come
soon so China will invest heavily into India.
– China has already committed $ 20 billion Investment in India.
That's nearly ₹140,000
crores.

10.
On Security – adding Ajit Doval to his team is the best decision by NaMo.
See the recent tie-up with Pentagon, Israel & Japan.
.
Now see how we stopped the Terror Boat from Pak near Mumbai from attacking Mumbai once again and listen to NaMo
… “Any Mumbai like attack from Pak and Pak will lose Baluchistan!" That's the language of deterrence that we are hearing from Ajit Doval .
We won't hit first, but if you do, we surely won't turn the other cheek.
.
.
.
.
.
.

11.
India approved the border road in the
NorthEast and around India- China border –
Remember just because of China’s opposition, the
ADB (Asian Development Bank) didn’t give us
funds during UPA regime and UPA held that file
under “Environment Ministry control – Remember the infamous “JAYANTHI TAX "? No one bothered about the disastrous effect on our armed forces.

12.
India managed to bring back 4,500+ Indians
from War zone in Yemen and also brought foreign nationals of 41 different countries, which put India’s name onto the highest platform globally in conducting that rescue mission – NaMo specially talked to the new Saudi Arabian king Salman and told him to allow Indian
Airforce planes to fly – as Saudi Arabia was attacking Yemen and Yemen skies were declared NO-FLY Zone: thanks to this we got an assured clear window of a few hours and guys
guess who coordinated this? Ajit Doval, Sushama Swaraj and Gen V K Singh.
All in person.
.
.
.
When
was the last time you ever heard of ministers involved
personally in such efforts that didn't fetch thousands of crores?? Guess the religion of those rescued?? But it isn't secular.

13.
India’s Air defense was getting weaker by the
day, UPA was very happy to let it happen despite
repeated specific inputs from the armed forces,
NaMo renegotiated Rafale fighter Jets deal with
France personally and bought 36 Jets on ASAP
basis.
At better than rack rates.
No middlemen, no commissions.
.
.

14.
For the first time after 42 yrs Indian NaMo visited Canada not to attend some
meeting but as a specific state visit, in a Bilateral
deal, India was able convince to Canada to supply Uranium for India’s Nuclear reactors for next 5
years.
It will be of great help to Resolve India’s Power problems.
.
.
.

15.
Canada approves visa on arrival for all Indian
tourists.
.
.
B'cos of NaMo
16.
Till recently we were exclusively buying Nuclear Reactors from Russia or USA and it was much like begging kind of situation because they were worried about usage of Nuclear reactor for some other use.
So only what they opted to give us, we could get.
.
Now NaMo was able to convince France and now France will make Nuclear reactors with the latest technology in India – On 'MAKE IN INDIA' efforts.
.
with collaboration with an Indian company as a
partner.
.
.

17.
During 26thJan.
visit of Barack Obama, NaMo
convinced USA to drop rule of Nuclear fuel tracking and sorted out Liabilities rules which now open the gates for next 16 Nuclear power
plant projects.
.
.
.
Isn't this good enough to improve power situation in India?

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Got this message, thought of sharing , as many of us in India itself do not know what is happening in Govt.
And to those who are worried about onion and dal prices, I would like to add that the onion prices trend has been almost same during this season every year, and the Dal production has been reduced in India this year.
India is only the largest Dal producer but still has to import large quantities of Dal every year, and there is no country which could supply all the Indias Dal import requirements in this world.
.
.
added to this the situation is actually worsened by hoarders, on whom the govt.
taken the rides and recovered 36,000 tonnes of Dal, again media highlights what it wants.
.
.
.
The main principle of Main Strem media is
1>To loot the country in Pindrop silence.
2>To disturb the unity and divert the attention by communal voice.
3>To create hurdles for those who are doing something good, as it will make its primary purpose( looting the country) hard to achieve.
For KNOWLEDGE on Medias Behaviour, you can read Why is media anti-Modi and pro-Congress?
Now the media which shouts India is Intolerant, knows this very well

You who say onion is 100 Rs/kg, dal is 500rs/kg, will ultimately rot in hell on this earth one day.

Happy eating cheap Dal and Onions and beef which will give you heavens.

On May 26, three years back, India President Pranab Mukherjee (former President of India) administered the oath of office of Prime Minister to Mr Narendra Modi and his cabinet.
This was the first time in 30 years that BJP came to absolute power.
In Modi’s cabinet, Alot of critcial positions in Cabinets were held by people without or little political background, This was definitely a good indication of fresh mindset and great approach to problem set
Just like any government

How is Indian railways changing now?
Due to huge success of Vande Bharat Express running from Delhi to Varanasi, 10 more routes of new Train 18 are decided.
Was 'Make in India' a successful campaign?
India is now world's sixth largest exporter of goods.
Improvement of India's rank in Ease of doing business
These are the pics of Ganga at Benaras Ghats before Modi Government

[2] [3] [4]
Edit 1
This is one of the flagship campaign of Modi Government.
Under this project ₹1.
96 lakh crore ($30 billion) were issued to construct 90 million toilets in rural India.
The government has already constructed 86 Million of toilets since 2014, reducing the number of persons who openly defecate from 550 million to fewer than 150 million in October 2018.
Now, India will be open defecation free in 2019.

Earlier in 2014 only 38.
7% of population had toilets now it is 96% as of October, 2018.

New technology for cleaning purpose is also introduced in Railways under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Currently vacuum cleaners are introduced in some of the trains.
After successfully testing them they will be installed in almost all the trains of India.
Edit 2:
Total Power generation capacity of India = 350GW (as of December 2018)
Total Renewable (excluding nuclear) = 114GW approx.
(as of 2018)
Renewable energy account for 33% approx (till 2018) of the total installed power capacity in India.
PM Narendra Modi in 2015 set a target of generating 100 GW of solar power till 2022.

If all goes according to plan, solar will account for three-fourths of the planned renewable energy capacity of 175 GW(renewable) by 2022.
Solar Power Capacity
Before 2014 – 2.
65GW
Till December 2018 – 26.
025GW
However government is not able to achieve solar energy target of 2018.
But I think they will do it in 2019.
Since, Many mega solar plants are currently under construction which will start soon in 2019.
Solar power in India has been growing at a rate of 113%.
And now the cost of production of electricity is only ₹4.
34 per kWh, which is around 18% lower than the average price for electricity generated by coal-fired plants.

Modi government is planting more and more solar panels.
Like on government building rooftops, train rooftops, railway stations, airports and more.
Nuclear Power
India has total 25 nuclear reactors and 7 nuclear plants generating 6.
2 GW (as of 2018) of electricity.
Total Electricity produced by Nuclear energy = 6.
2 GW (as of 2018)
There are 6 under-construction nuclear plants which will be soon active.
Under construction
[5]
Note: All of these nuclear plants were not proposed under Modi Government.
Just listed them for just educational purpose.

Good News.

India is soon going to successfully make world's first Thorium based nuclear power plant.

It took more than 15 years to make it.
It is now at its completion stage.
Thorium based are the only reactors in the world which produce more energy in less fuel and while producing less waste.

In short, yes! I has changed! I am now told what to eat, what to drink, whom to worship.
Don't criticize the government!
I have lived the first 3 years under Modi/BJP rule in India and the last one year in New Zealand, and have seen how Modi rule has impacted India.
I believe that the old Congress government has become arrogant, tired, and scared of taking any policy decisions for fear of being scandalised in corruption charges.
When Modi came in, the change was sudden.
There was optimism in the air as Modi took the oath of Prime Minister.
Suddenly, we saw a man who was different.
From the ramparts of the Red Fort, he dared to talk about clean toilets and exhort mothers to keep an eye on their young boys.
It was a pleasant change.
My confidence in him multiplied when he brought out the note ban.
Finally, I thought, here is someone who dares to deal with corruption.
He came with the promise of a new India, a new way of doing things.
I was hopeful.
But then there were more talks, and talks, and talks, and schemes, and taxes, and more and more talks, schemes, and taxes.
There came news about churches being burned, mosques being defiled, rapists being honoured.
Politicians from the ruling party came out in support of gangs of men who raped a minor Muslim girl.
Vigilante groups were formed and lynching started.
Did people stop defecating in the toilets? No.
I still see people defecating in the open.
The Ganges river is still polluted, and worse than it was four years before.
I still see people going for a early morning poo in the banks of the holiest river in my country and around the rail tracks.
Train bathrooms are still dirty and nothing has changed.
The government claims to have brought electricity to the entire country.
But again, I am aware of huge swathes of land where electricity has not even sparked.
In many areas, the electricity is erratic and of very poor quality.
Even the suburb of Mumbai where I stayed suffered from constant power shedding and we only survived due to our inverter.
In fact in the majority of the country, battery backup is a reality because they cannot rely on the state power.
Suddenly I saw my old school friends and some family members changing and becoming radicalised.
Now they became Hindus, Muslims, Christians, rights wings, left wings, communists, Lib-tarts, prestitutes etc.
A sense of fear came upon people, especially the minorities – read Muslims and Christians.
Suddenly talks moved away from development to who will build the temple? The safety and protection of the cow is a major agenda.
Kids have had to vacate schools so that stray cows can be housed.
You cannot question the government – read the Prime Minister – or you are labelled anti-national.
The government acts with complete impunity and goes about doing things as it feels, thanks to the majority it enjoys in the parliament.
Questions posed during the interviews to the Prime Minister are like this –
What is the secret of your undying energy?
How do you fast for 9 days without eating food?
What is the secret of your positive attitude?
Today in my country, free speech, thought and expression are under threat.
The institutions which have stood the test of time are under threat.
The idea that corruption has been eradicated is a smokescreen.
Corruption is still alive and thriving, it’s just a little bit low key.
The local police still demand bribes to get things done.
Even to get an FIR lodged for a lost passport, you pay Rs.
750 as bribe to the local police station.
The point is that India was affiliated with all these issues before as well.
But what this government has added is division, blind worship of a leader, and scare mongering.
I had high hopes.
I really had.

2019 is at the threshold and if we don’t raise the ante, it might be be a big blow to the hard work done in the last few years.
I see a lot of negative reactions based on propaganda that we need to clarify and stand by our PM.
If by chance he loses this one, he will be running out of time to come back and deliver.
Elsewhere you will read about thousands of documents, official reports, excel sheets, power points on Swacch Bharat, Ujjwala, Fasal Bima, Jan Dhan but I wanted to provide my view of things through a writers lens on some remarkably underwritten stuff.
Let’s start objectively:
Read this article below thoroughly that 18 months back itself, we were at a situation where coal based dirty power was 31% higher than solar power.
If the government has vision, it will deliver.
It will lead and make you a proud citizen of the higher chairs in international forums.
These are the kinds of initiatives that takes a nation from third world to leaders.
What is China's string of pearls? What has India done regarding it?
Do you see the venomous snake and not a string of pearls in the above pic.
Coming back to currency swap :
Narendra Modi

Let me present a different perspective here.
People too often judge a powerful person on his actions after a victory.
Modi too was and still is being judged over what he did after he won a humongous victory in the Lok Sabha elections.
I choose to judge him on the decisions he took after a defeat.
A big one.
The Bihar elections.
So many rallies by the PM himself, with him being practically the face of the entire campaign.
And he lost.
By a huge margin.
Honestly answer this question, what would you do if you were a rockstar and suddenly one day your newest album went flop.
You latest performance was booed on.
Yeah it's a crude analogy but bear with me.
What would you do?
My honest answer is I would see what the crowd wants, what the current trend is and I will abandon my originality, my creation and cater to whatever the people want.
Today's politicians are no different than a rockstar.
Their promises and policies brim with populism and they see nothing beyond their 5 year term.
You realize people don't like you, give them free TVs, radios, water, electricity, subsidies and what not!
But here's what's different this time.

8th November Bihar election results are announced
18 NOV:
Had this been any other PM the government would have immediately focused on salvaging their image by bringing in populist moves especially when the people were being convinced that these reforms are 'for Ambanis to loot poor Indians' and seeing the results it would be safe to assume that many people did get convinced.
But instead they kept opening the economy to foreign investment and privatization which would accentuate the 'suit-boot ki sarkar' image in the minds of rural and middle-class Indians.
Yet they took this risk just for the sake of improving India's economy.
One of the primary goals that Modi government needed to achieve was tightening the fiscal deficit.
To do so it would have to cut down on expenditure.
But with OROP adding Rs.
7500 to the burden and the 7th pay commission as well, it was a very difficult task to stick to fiscal deficit targets this budget.
Most of the investors were speculating that to boost popularity, Modi will open the dams and spend more money to gain votes and popularity.
To everyone's surprise Modi government stuck to the deficit target of 3.
5% in Budget 2016.
It was reported that Modi, breaking the tradition, was actively involved in the making of budget.
Investors regained confidence in the Modi Sarkar.
Modi having recently lost the Bihar elections and facing a tough fight in the UP elections could have resorted to populist measures by increasing government spending and giving away gifts to the vote banks.
But instead he chose to stick with his aim of improving India's economy.

This is a PM who is ready to sacrifice his popularity for the sake of improving India's economy.
A PM who understands governance and economics and has the acumen & wisdom of keeping them away from politics.
He sure as hell is helping India get better!
