Is being called edgy a good or bad thing Is drawing skulls with flowers I genuinely find them cool an edgy thing to do

Is being called “edgy” a good or bad thing? Is drawing skulls with flowers (I genuinely find them cool) an edgy thing to do?

Edgy is technically an insult.
It means someone who tries too hard to be cool, go against the grid, or be noticed by someone.
However nowadays it just get’s thrown off in the internet by people just because they dislike your style.
“Edgy” is to the internet what “Nazi” is to the left, just a cheap and easy to spout buzzword meant to dismiss other people’s ideas without need for any serious discussion.
I could see why something like THIS:
Would be seen as edgy.
But Skulls with flowers in them? That has been a thing since Mexico’s inception probably xD
The same goes for the normie insult guys.
Insulting someone for being normal isn’t ingenious, that’s just sad, and may I say… EDGY

It’s generally seen as something bad, and no, drawing floral skulls doesn’t automatically fit you into that category.
Today’s definition of edgy is that one person that is really negative, they are constantly sneering/snarking at people, insulting them, and especially like dark, sadistic, and idiotic things because they think that makes them superior, “badass”, and intimidating, but in reality they are really foolish/idiotic, trying way too hard, and unappreciative.
It’s not wrong to like gothic styles, skulls and bones, heavy metal or what have you, but once people start using it like a tool, building this superior complex, denouncing everyone, claiming mental disabilities/problems they don’t have (the “victim” of society), and see themselves as the supreme dark lord…they’re bound to get pointed and laughed at.
They talk big, act small.
And people don’t see their style as “cool”, just over the top and shallow because their meaning is not genuine.

Man, this question is edgyyy ;D
There's no universal good or bad.
Everything is subjective and relative.
Edgy word in itself is quite “open”.
One could interpret it edgy as in cool and original.
Or edgy as in antisocial and rude.
I'd advise you to make a note of people's tone if you're being called edgy (if you really care).
Also, if you like drawing skulls with flowers, I'd advise you to keep drawing them and don't give af.

If you like skulls with flowers see the more recent work of David Bailey the incredible photographer of supermodels in the days that really meant something… they are stunning.
